Buy Kunzite – the pink variety of spodumene
Kunzite is the pink to violet variety of spodumene, a lithium aluminosilicate. With a Mohs hardness of 6.5 to 7 it would actually be robust – but it has perfect cleavage and can shatter along these planes if stressed incorrectly.
In addition, there's a characteristic you should know: Kunzite is light-sensitive. Extended direct sunlight causes the color to fade. It's best stored in the dark.
