Our First Incoming Shipments – What a New Mineral Delivery at Crystal Paradise Means

A new mineral delivery at Crystal Paradise is far more than a simple stock replenishment. It is a moment of genuine anticipation – for us as a team and for everyone who appreciates hand-picked, one-of-a-kind pieces of nature. Every delivery brings pieces that have grown in the earth over millions of years. We open every new shipment with the same curious eyes as on the very first day. In this article, we'll show you how our first mineral delivery unfolds, which regions of origin we prefer, and what we look for during quality control.
What happens during our first mineral delivery?
Every new shipment begins long before the actual unpacking. We work exclusively with vetted suppliers. Our contacts range from South America to Central Asia to Europe. This is important to us: origin and authenticity come first at Crystal Paradise.
From our own experience, we know that careful supplier pre-selection makes a decisive difference. Anyone who orders blindly risks treated or fake pieces. That's why we rely on personal relationships with dealers and mine operators, which we've built through years of collaboration.
The process in detail
- Ordering and communication: We discuss in advance exactly which minerals, specimens, or rough pieces we're looking for. Photos and measurements are exchanged.
- Shipping and customs: Depending on the country of origin, transport takes between 5 and 21 days. Customs documents are carefully reviewed.
- Incoming goods and inspection: Each piece is individually examined. We check for damage, authenticity, and quality.
- Photographing and listing: Each unique piece receives its own photo and description in the shop.
- Publishing in the online shop: New pieces go online as quickly as possible – so you can be the first to grab them.
Where does our mineral delivery come from?
Our mineral delivery includes pieces from the world's most significant collecting regions. Each region has its own geological history. This is what makes our assortment so diverse.
South America – Colorful classics
Brazil is one of the most important supplier countries worldwide. There, amethyst geodes, citrine, and tourmaline form under extreme pressure and at temperatures of up to 400 °C deep within the earth. Brazilian amethyst reaches a Mohs hardness of 7 – making it particularly durable. Bolivia supplies us with spectacular bolivianite pieces, also known as ametrine, with unique color gradients from violet to yellow. Discover our minerals from Brazil and minerals from Bolivia right in our shop.
Central Asia – Rarities from Afghanistan
Among mineral collectors, Afghanistan is considered a treasure trove. The deposits in the Hindu Kush mountains lie at altitudes of over 3,000 meters. There, extraordinary kunzite, tourmaline, and aquamarine form. The crystals there grow over periods of up to 500 million years. Take a look at our minerals from Afghanistan – it's worth it.
Europe – Quality close to home
European sites also play a role. Bulgaria supplies impressive pyrite specimens and calcite formations. Switzerland is famous for rock crystals and smoky quartz from the Alps. We recommend not underestimating European minerals – the quality is often exceptionally high.
Quality control: How we inspect every stone
At our showroom in Feldkirchen near Munich, we personally inspect every piece before it goes online. We place great importance on the following criteria:
- Authenticity: No synthetic substitutes, no glass imitations, no artificial coloring without clear labeling.
- Integrity: Natural inclusions and growth features are welcome – they prove authenticity.
- Aesthetics: Pieces must be visually and tactilely captivating. We only select what convinces us ourselves.
- Proof of origin: Wherever possible, we transparently document the locality and supplier.
- Packaging condition: Pieces damaged by improper transport are claimed or sorted out.
This process takes between 2 and 5 business days, depending on the scope of the delivery. Only then do the pieces go online.

Frequently asked questions

How often does a new mineral delivery arrive at Crystal Paradise?
We receive new deliveries throughout the year. There is no fixed monthly rhythm, as we buy opportunistically and with a focus on quality. On average, new pieces go online every 2 to 4 weeks. Our newsletter always informs you first.
Can I reserve a specific stone for the next delivery?
Yes, that's possible. Simply send us a message with your request. We'll note your inquiry and get in touch as soon as we receive a matching piece in a new mineral delivery. We recommend specifying the country of origin, mineral type, and approximate size or price range.
Are all the minerals in your delivery untreated?
We always indicate whether a stone is treated or not. Raw pieces are always declared as such. Some polished varieties or aura minerals are enhanced pieces – we communicate this transparently in the product description. Our aura minerals, for example, are electroplated crystals with a special color effect.
How long does shipping take after the goods arrive?
After internal quality control and listing in the shop – which usually takes 2 to 5 business days – we ship within 1 to 3 business days. For Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, delivery time is usually 2 to 5 business days after shipment.
Can I also view new shipments in the showroom?
Absolutely. At our showroom in Feldkirchen near Munich, you can experience many of our new pieces in person. The tactile experience – holding a stone in your hand – is something no photo can fully replace. We're happy to advise you there in person.
